Mocha Protein Smoothie

Introduction

This is the smoothie for all those that love a coffee flavoured dessert. Each sip has hints of chocolate, peanut butter and espresso. It’s a great combination.

The recipe is easy to adjust to personal taste or ingredients on hand. Sub in the same amount of real peanut butter or dairy ice cream and milk. Double up the cocoa powder if you don’t have protein powder. Powdered coffee is also an option, rather Or add in another flavour, like strawberries or vanilla. 

Ingredients

2 cups almond milk

½ cup ice 

½ a frozen banana 

1 ounce/shot of espresso coffee

1 Tablespoons vanilla coconut ice cream

1 Tablespoon peanut butter powder

1 Tablespoon chocolate protein powder

1 Tablespoon cocoa powder

1 teaspoon maple syrup

1 teaspoon collagen powder

Sprinkle of chocolate powder (optional)

Directions

  1. Combine all the ingredients, except chocolate powder, in a blender. Pulse until smooth and creamy.

  2. Pour into glasses and sprinkle with chocolate powder.
